I had read good reviews of this fancy deli/small resturant located in NYC's midtown area at 20 West 55th Street. When you walk inside the front deli area is narrow and crowded with hungry office workers. If you venture further back a small, but cozy dining room is revealed. To avoid the long to-go line I ate in the dining room and had an Eggplant Parmigiana entree (with choice of vegetable side - I had carrots) for $6.95 with a Boylan's black cherry soda ($2.05).
The food was very good and the service friendly. In fact, when I was leaving and walking out I felt like I was in a receiving line because the employees who were standing lined up against the narrow hallway wall all said goodbye and thanks as I left.
There are lots of delicious sounding specials so I will have to return on different days of the week to try the sandwiches, pizzas, burrito bar and burgers.
