Trailer Park

is a kitchy bar/restaurant located in NYC's Chelsea at 271 23rd Street. You know what you are in for when you see a toilet used for a giant ashtray in the front of the restaurant. The inside is decorated with tinsel and colored lights, the side of a trailer is used for one wall, the chairs are mismatched old fashioned kitchen chairs, the walls are covered with photos of Elvis and they have old black and white tv's playing old tv shows.

The menu is limited to a paper place mat. "C" and I both had the hamburger with a side of tater tots ($8.95) with cheddar cheese (extra $1.50). It was happy hour so "C" 's beer was complimentary with the burger and I had a $5 mango margarita.

The burgers were large and juicy, served with tomato, lettuce and pickles. And the tater tots were excellent - warm and crispy!
