Baoguette

This tiny restuarant is located in NYC's East Village at 37 St. Marks Place. They offer very reasonably priced Vietnamese food. One of my favs is the Baoguette for $5 - their version of the classic Vietnamese sandwich. It contains pate, terrine, pork roll, char siu pork, pickled daikon and carrots, cucumber, cilantro and jalapeno.

They customize each sandwich according to how spicy you like your food. I am wimpy and ordered "mild" which means they only add sriracha sauce. You can go "very spicy" which inclues thai chilies, extra sriracha sauce and jalapenos. Whooo....too hot for my palate.
