Another famous establishment in Red Hook, Brooklyn, is Steve's Key Lime Pies (located on the waterfront at 204 Van Dyke St.).
For $4.00 I tried the 4" tart and A tried the "swingle" (4" tart covered in chocolate and on a stick) for $5.00. I was disappointed because my tart did not have much flavor. It was not tart or citrusy and I didn't taste any key lime.
The only thing that was sour was the attitude of the two teenage employees.
