Trattoria Trullo - Chicago

...is located in the Lincoln Square area of Chicago at 4767 N. Lincoln Avenue.
"C", "I", "T", "W" and I stared with two appetizers: the daily special of buratta and mortadella (so rich and delicious) and grilled seafood (love the calamari).
"C", "W" and I all had different pasta dishes. "T" had the mushroom risotto while "I" had the special of rack of lamb with mushroom risotto.
Then we shared chocolate gelato, raspberry gelato and tiramisu.
Very good, basic Italian fare.

Eataly

...is the new Mario Batali Italian food market emporium located at 200 Fifth Avenue right above NYC's Flatiron District.
They have EVERYTHING here...fresh meat, fish, pasta, bread, vegetables and restaurants and prepared food and packaged food.
"M" and I tried the gelato even though they had run out of all, but 4 flavors - vanilla and apricot (medium $4.90) and it was good.

Green Apple Gelato

...is located at 202 Mott Street in NYC's SoHo. I actually went there to try the J'Chanceix
Macarons, but they were sold out. So I had a small gelato ($3.75+tax) - one scoop of biscotti and one scoop of tiramisu. It was the standard gelato.

Popbar

is located at 5 Carmine Street in NYC's Greenwich Village.

These are gelato pops on a stick. You select the pop flavor ($4.50) and then you can add toppings such as dippings ($0.50 - milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate) and toppings ($0.50).
I had a hazelnut gelato pop dipped in milk chocolate and topped with coconut.

It's a novelty, but seems expensive for the size of the pop.

Veuve Clicquot Polo Match

This polo match was held on NYC's Governor's Island on Sunday, June 27th. Prince Harry from England participated and proceeds benefited his charity.

A nice crowd showed up for the free public seating area. There were 3 food vendors. "A" and I both had a hot dog ($8) and fries ($4). I also had a soda ($3). Later on we both had Il Laboratorio Gelato ($5/each) - "A" had chocolate chip and I had lemon.

We both bought a Veuve Clicquot bottle stopper in a cute little bag for ($10) for souveniers.

Someone from the other sponsor, Piaget, was also throwing out these foam balls into the crowd during halftime and I caught one.

Limelight Marketplace

....is located at 656 Sixth Avenue in NYC's Chelsea. This church used to be the (in)famous Limelight Club. It has now been coverted to a marketplace with boutiques and speciality foods such as cupcakes and chocolates. The boutiques were not that appealing, but the foods were!

I tried Baci Gelato - Meringue and Tiramisu (medium cup $5.50) which was very good. The employees are eager to give away generous samples.

L'arte del Gelato

...has 3 locations. I visited the NYC West Village location at 75 Seventh Avenue South.

I had a cone with Stracciatelli and Biscotti ($4.50) - yummy. And they added a taste of banana on my cone.
The employees werer very nice and offered free tastes of different flavors.

Co Pizza

Co Pizza is a clean, bright restaurant that serves made to order pizza. The crust is not exactly thin, but it's light and airy.
"C" and I split two pizzas:
Flambe $16 - béchamel, parmesan, buffalo mozzarella, caramelized onions, lardons which had a wonderful sweet onion flavor.

Ham and Cheese $14 - pecorino, gruyère, buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, caraway which had generous slices of prosciutto.

and the Daily Gelato $3 - which was corn. It tasted just like sweet corn.
