Xian Famous Foods

I visited the original Xian Famous Foods in NYC's borough of Queens a the Flushing Mall located at 133-31 39th Avenue.

Just out of curiousity I tried the Tingly Lamb Face Salad ($9.75). Yes, it was tingly (spicy). Yes it was made up of miscellaneous lamb face parts (lots of bones, not much meat). Yes, it was salad (no noodles).

I supplemented the meat with a pork bun ($2.50) which was a meal all by itself.

And I ventured to another vendor for a Pineapple smoothie ($3.25).

Ronnybrook Milk Bar

...is located in NYC's Chelsea Market. They are primarily known for their dairy (milk and ice cream), but since this was breakfast time I tried their non-dairy offerings and was not surprised to be disappointed. I ordered the egg in a hole $5 (which was served with a handful of potatoes) and strawberry smoothie $5.50.

Next time I'll stick to their milkshakes.

But to be fair, in the past I have tried their sandwiches which were good. The staff is friendly and service is prompt.
