is located in Chicago at 2039 W. North Avenue and is a very modern, sleek restaurant located in the former North Avenue Bath house.
"C" and I had a very nice dinner there.
First we were given flat bread and white bean spread.
"C" had a Magnolia cocktail ($12.50) and I had a glass of Prosecco ($11).
Then we were both given an amuse bouche of diced vegetables.
For appetizers we shared the wonderful Crispy Pork Belly - layered with Chinese steamed buns/pickled cucumber/Thai basil & cilantro ($13). We both had a bowl of the Lemongrass & Coconut Soup - with prawn dumplings/Thai chili/shaved shiitake/kaffir lime ($9) which did not taste as good as it smelled. The coconut flavor was very slight.
For entrees "C" had the Duck Breast braised duck leg/roasted root vegetables/sage and mustard crust/cider ($31) and I had the Seared Maine Sea Scallops braised oxtail/wild mushrooms/sweet soy/baby bok choy ($33).
Both were very good and flavorful.
For dessert "C" had the sorbet ($8) and I had the Ice Cream Tasting ($9) which consisted of 3 flavors of ice cream (including espresso and caramel) with 3 sugar cookies.
And then our waiter brought each of us a small cup of spiced hot chocolate - mmmm...
