This Litte Piggy did not make it home...

Back in March I attended a pig butchering class at The Brooklyn Kitchen. It was taught by butcher rock star, Tom Mylan, from Marlow & Sons, who brought in half of a pig on his shoulder right before the class started.

For $75.00/person we stood and watched Tom as he explained, cut and suggested recipes for every part of the pig for almost 3 hours. Tom was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Then we were all given 6-8lbs of (freshly) cut pork to take home.

The store's owner also gave us freshly made scrapple on crackers as a snack. This was definitely not an event for vegetarians.

I won't post all of the photos taken for those of you with delicate stomachs.
