Macaroon Boutique - Charleston

I had to try one of these fabulous looking macaroons from the Macaroon Boutique located at 45 John Street.

I wanted a smaller one, but they were only solid in prepacked bags of four so I bought a large chocolate ganache version ($4). It was very dense and had too much ganache filling. But I loved the cute box!

Almond Macaroon

The Boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ is known as a place to buy salt water taffy. I am not a fan of taffy, but was happy to see that they offer coconut macaroons and almond macaroons. These almond macaroons are the poor NJ cousin to French macaroons, but they were light and airy and only $0.99 each.
