is located in the Shops at Columbus Circle in NYC's Midtown across from the Southwest corner of Central Park. This little sister to Masa offers a less expensive menu...if you consider a $48 assorted sashimi bento box lunch "less" expensive.
The bento box is preceded by a bowl of miso soup which was a bit oily, but not salty (as I usually find miso) and dotted with mushrooms.
The bento box contained a bowl of brown rice, sunomono salad (very small cucumbers), slices of japanese eggplant and 3 types of sashimi: fatty tuna, yellowtail and tuna.
I ordered green tea ($8 for a pot).
I was still hungry after this meal.
Yes, there were less expensive bento boxes and there were more expensive bento boxes, but Masa is known for it's sushi/sashimi so I was determined to try it.
